Advertising Coordinator

The Advertising Coordinator works within the Editing Department and is responsible for client support, to ensure final advertising artwork to be placed in various publications.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with sales reps to ensure timeous receipt of signed client contracts

  • Loading of client contracts on system

  • Liaise with clients and designers to ensure that correct advertising artwork gets designed and/or supplied by clients for a range of media, including print and digital publications, as well as social and related media

  • Build relationships with clients through phone and e-mail

  • Dealing efficiently and sensitively with clients

  • To take responsibility for own professional development in order to fulfil the role effectively

  • To attend team meetings and one-to-one meetings with your line manager

  • To work flexibly, being prepared to undertake other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the role.

  • Ad hoc office duties

  • Qualifications & Experience: At least Grade 12

  • Permanent employment

  • Area: Paarl

  • Starting date: soon as possible

  • Proficient in English and Afrikaans

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Efficient verbal and written communication skills

  • Meticulous attention to detail

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

  • Good organisational abilities

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Internet research skills

  • Ability to work alone or in a team
